Alpha Sigma Alpha helped me become the woman and the leader I am today and I want to ensure that our organization will be around another hundred years, so that my children’s daughters will be able to learn sisterhood, voluntarism and leadership skills in Alpha Sigma Alpha.”
Carol was a founding member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Delta Nu-B Chapter in 1975 at General Motors Institute, now Kettering University, in Flint, Michigan and Chapter Advisor to Alpha Sigma Alpha Epsilon Tau Chapter at University of Maryland – Baltimore County.
Carol holds a BS in Engineering from General Motors Institute, now Kettering University (1979), an MBA from Harvard Business School (1981) and an Executive Program Certificate from Harvard Business School’s “Governing for Non-Profit Excellence” (2018).
Carol Goodman is a member of the Board and Past President of the Junior League of Baltimore and the Association of Junior Leagues International. She has served on many nonprofit and school boards, chaired capital and annual campaigns and is currently serving on several boards including the Hampden Family Center, the College of Notre Dame, the Mount Vernon Club and Kettering University. Currently, she holds community leadership roles with Harvard University, Baltimore City Public schools and the Junior League of Baltimore. Carol has been recognized by former President George W. Bush and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan for her volunteer efforts in the community. She is known for her ability to define an organization’s vision, lead community and fundraising initiatives, and professionalize organizations.
Professionally, Carol is retired from General Motor’s Treasurer’s Staff. Carol became a trustee for the ASA Foundation in 2019.
