Commitment in Action

Alpha Sigma Alpha encourages members to support the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation and to participate in the national philanthropic efforts as well as those in their local communities. Girls on the Run International

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. Alpha Sigma Alpha members volunteer at 5k events, serve as program coaches and raise funds to support the organization.

Special Olympics

Alpha Sigma Alpha adopted Special Olympics as a philanthropic partner in 1976. The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Alpha Sigma Alpha members support Special Olympics by attending and hosting sporting events, writing notes of encouragement to athletes and raising funds to support the organization.
