1901 Society
Each collegian is encouraged to make an annual Foundation donation of $19.01 through the 1901 Society in honor of the Sorority’s founding year. Collegiate women have many opportunities to benefit from Foundation funded programs including but not limited to The Academy, Behind Happy Faces, Emma Coleman Frost Leadership Development Institute, national convention & leadership conference and more.

Individual collegiate donations through the 1901 Society allow each member to invest in herself and in future generations of Alpha Sigma Alpha women. First time 1901 Society donors receive an exclusive 1901 dangle that can be worn on a badge guard, charm bracelet or on a necklace. While no single 1901 Society donation supports a specific Foundation funded program or opportunity, a $19.01 gift can make an impact such as:
Event Attendance
Allowing free attendance at the Collegiate Keynote Experience focused on mental health, communication and networking, diversity, equity & inclusion and risk management.
Mental Health Programming
Providing access to Behind Happy Faces mental health curriculum to two members, one of whom may have been a volunteer who is helping support and guide collegiate women as an advisor or region volunteer.
Chapter Resources
Helping cover the cost of CrowdChange to allow collegiate chapters easy and safe donation collections that benefit Special Olympics, Girls on the Run, the Foundation and many local charities.
