JANET CROOK CONROY

TRUSTEE

One of Janet’s environmental passions is bringing awareness to consumers that ripped and stained clothes can be recycled instead of tossed in the trash and ending up in landfills.

Janet is a native of Daniels, WV. She is a graduate of Concord University ’86 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Education, and Harvard ’20 with a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Sustainability. Since 1988 she has been employed with American Airlines as a Flight Attendant and is still flying today.

Outside of work Janet volunteers with Alpha Sigma Alpha National Sorority in many rolls, her most recent is President of the ASA Country Roads WV Alumnae Chapter. She serves on the Concord University Alumni Association Council as the Second Vice President and chairman of Membership and Marketing, Seed Sowers The Well board member and Advocating for Adults and Youth (AWAY) board member. Additionally, Janet is member of the Piney Creek Watershed Association and Friends of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. However, the thing she is most proud of is her son, William, who serves as a Executive Officer in the Marine Corp.
